First time eating here. Found it on Yelp. Had great reviews and we were in the area. We had the Monte Cristo. Some of the best pizza we'd had in a long time. We'll be back, with the family next time. Highly recommended.
Extremely impressed. Definitely reminded me of a trip to Italy where I had similar taste. Arancinis where full of flavor, not too wet. Good crunch factor. The truffle pizza was my favorite with a bit of honey on it. I am not crazy about lasagna. But the (white) pistachio lasagna changed my thoughts on lasagna forever. Probably the best lasagna I had in my life. I'm a big believer in always having a protein with a meal but this is the exception. Bravo to these artists. Food is authentic and made worh love. If you want a local taste of Italy, this is the best. Tiramisu was not too sweet and had an amazing taste. Absolutely will be returning.
In our ongoing quest for good Neapolitan pizza, we found a winner. Small but very nice little restaurant in Carrollwood area. The pizza was perfect, fresh toppings, thin crust, perfect chewy edges with those toasted bubbles around the edges of the crust from the oven. The selection of red and white pizzas was impressive — we ordered traditional Marguerite’s and Regina (pictured) and delicious cannolis. Pasta dishes coming out looked really good too - need to try pasta next time.
A great little place with out the fuss of a big restaurant but serves the food of a well established high end trattoria. We did family style so we tried a couple Pizzas (Americana & Monte Cristo ). Both were great but I liked the Monte Cristo better. The pistachio lasagna was excellent and the Penne ala Vodka and rigatoni cabonera were tasty too.
I saw advertising for this Italian restaurant on social media, I'm glad we took a chance. We were so happy with the atmosphere and food. Their gnocchi was cooked perfectly, and the pizza was delicious. We plan on coming back to enjoy their other options. The tiramiso was just the right blend! Support your local businesses!!!
Arrr, gather ‘round, me hearty foodies, fer a tale o’ culinary treasure from Sogna Napoli Trattoria & Pizzeria! This be no ordinary port o’ call—nay, it be a hidden jewel where flavors be richer than a pirate’s plunder! First, let’s talk tiramisu, aye? It be the most glorious dessert ever to set sail on me tastebuds! Creamy, dreamy, and doused in just the right amount o’ rum-like goodness (or so me rum-soaked mind tells me), it left me shoutin’, “Yo-ho-ho, and more tiramisu fer me!” Then thar be the gnocchi—soft, pillowy morsels o’ joy that made me heart sing a sea shanty! Each bite be a delightful voyage through a sea o’ sauce and flavor. If ever a dish could charm the kraken, this be the one. But blow me down, the true treasure here be the crew! The service be so outstanding, I almost mistook me waiter fer a first mate. Attentive they were, like they had a spyglass trained on our needs from the crow’s nest. They kept our mugs full and our spirits higher than the Jolly Roger on a breezy day. And aye, the place be busier than Tortuga on a Friday night, but somehow we scored a table like true buccaneers snatching booty. Lucky, ye say? Nay, it be fate, I reckon! So set yer course fer Sogna Napoli Trattoria & Pizzeria, mateys, but be warned—it be so good, ye may never want to leave. Five doubloons outta five, and then some! Arrrr!
Wow...what a gem! Hands down best Italian food we have had in Tampa. The owner and her chefs are experienced restaurateurs from Italy, and it shows. We tried a pizza and a gnocchi dish...both were incredibly fresh and delicious. Service was also great...very inviting and relaxing ambience that could work for either a date night or just a casual family meal. We loved it...with all the chain restaurants in Carrollwood, it’s so nice to see something unique and authentic open!
What’s to say? I’m Italian, and I just moved into this area, looking for a truly authentic Italian spot. After being let down by several places that claim to be Italian but clearly aren’t, I can honestly say this place is a gem! The welcome here was straight out of Italy—so warm and genuine. The owner was incredibly kind to me, just knowing that I’m Italian, and that’s something that really hits home in our culture. Now, let’s talk about the most important part—the food. It was absolutely top-notch Italian. The pizza sauce was perfection, and the tiramisu? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had, not just in the U.S., but in my entire life. I’m including some pictures because I really want to share this amazing find. If you’re craving authentic Italian food with a welcoming atmosphere, Sogna Napoli is where you need to go. Highly recommended!
